On-site technical support for smart meters
1. Responsible for collecting data relating to on-site after-sales issues (background information, scope of impact, log data, etc.)
2. Troubleshoot common issues such as communication faults with electricity meters (e.g. PLC, RF, 4G), inaccurate data and display anomalies.
3. Carry out routine maintenance, upgrades and replacements, and keep accurate records.
Smart tool System Support
1. Provide support for smart tool/data acquisition systems, including installation, basic configuration and operational training.
2. Troubleshoot issues relating to failed data retrieval from smart tool, data anomalies and the use of basic functions.
3. Assist customers with the configuration of specific smart tool functions.
System Integration and Meter Reading Support
1. Assist customers or third parties with ensuring compatibility between electricity meters, such as second-generation CT meters and Starbeat;
2. Support application-layer debugging of communication protocols (e.g. DLMS/COSEM, Modbus), and troubleshoot reading failures and data parsing errors.
3. Participate in simple on-site integration testing under supervision.
Requirements Gathering and Feedback
1. Systematically record product defects, suggestions for functional improvements and new requirements reported by customers (such as on-site technicians and utility engineers).
2. Collect information on local market standards and regulations (including CREG and unofficial documents) as well as details of competitors’ products (such as technical specifications and prices).
3. Gather utility company documentation (EPM, ENEL, EMCALI, AIRE, etc.) through multiple channels.
Documentation and Knowledge Management
1. Maintain and update localized technical documentation, FAQs and instructional videos.
2. Compile case studies of on-site issue resolution and add them to the knowledge base.
Core Competency Requirements
1. A background in electrical engineering, with some practical experience in working with power electronics equipment, such as soldering
2. Excellent customer communication and cross-cultural coordination skills; highly proactive, with the ability to think critically rather than merely passing on information; and strong documentation skills.
3. Fluent in Spanish and with a reasonable command of English.
4. Be able to work overtime for some occasions and be able to take business trip in other cities.
